Cancellation, Refund Policy for Rivercity Roadworthys and Mechanical Appointments

 

1. Partial Refund Eligibility: If you cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled booking, you may be eligible for a partial refund. Official cancellations can be made via phone call or text message to 0409870059. 

 

2. Refund Process: Upon cancellation, the refund will be processed through your initial payment method. Please note that the timeline for receiving the refund is 7 to 10 business days. The exact duration is determined by your financial institution and is beyond the control of Rivercity Roadworthys and Mechanical.

 

3. Administration Fee: Your refund will be sent to you less an administration fee of $24.90 (including GST). This fee applies to all services except Pre-Purchase Inspections, which will incur an administration fee of $44.90 (including GST).

 

4. - Non-Event Appointments: 
Rivercity Roadworthys and Mechanical will not issue refunds for appointments considered a "non-event." 
A "non-event" occurs in the following situations:
   - The vehicle or trailer is not ready for your appointment, and Rivercity Roadworthys and Mechanical has attended your address ready for inspection.  
   - Your vehicle is not in a suitable place for inspection (for example, any vehicle inc trailers are on grass, hills, or dirt. Your vehicle must me on a flat hard surface to be jacked up safely).  
   -  Your vehicle / trailer does not need a Roadworthy Inspection -  (For example, you have not checked to see if your vehicle requires an inspection. Trailers under 750kg atm fall into this category)
   - Your vehicle is not available for inspection at the scheduled time and Rivercity Roadworthys has attended the appointment. 
   - You are uncontactable during the appointment, and Rivercity Roadworthys has attended the address (a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes is allocated).

Rivercity Roadworthys will however allow a reschedule of the appointment if notified by phone at least 2 hours prior to the appointment.

 

5 - Out of Service Area Bookings:
Rivercity Roadworthys will not be responsible if you have booked an appointment for inspection outside the Brisbane or Redlands Areas of Service. It is your responsibility to check that your Inspection is carried out within these areas. 
A cancellation fee of $24.90 will be charged if booked outside these areas

6 - TERMS OF SERVICE: 

- All vehicles and trailers must be on a hard, flat surface and accessible from all sides for inspection or measurement. This includes cars, light vehicles, motorcycles, trikes,       sidecars, and trailers.

- All vehicles must have adequate space around them for inspection - 1 metre all around should be a minimum. 
- Any vehicle or trailer not suitable for inspection on the day may be cancelled at Rivercity Roadworthys discretion and no refund given. 
- It is preferred that you (the owner) be present for the inspection, but it is not necessary. 
- Any keys left out are at you (the owners) risk and Rivercity Roadworthys will accept no responsibility for them.  Rivercity Roadworthys will return left out keys to the place     advised by you (the Customer)
- All vehicles inc Motorcycles are road tested.  This will be carried out in the rain as well. Please make sure your vehicle is ready to be road tested. 
- Bookings may be rescheduled due to weather conditions - light rain is fine, but moderate to heavy will not unless your vehicle or trailer is under cover and not sitting in           water.  

- Please make sure that your vehicle has fuel and a good working battery on the day of your Inspection (if applicable)

- Trailers with permanent gas require a gas certificate in addition to your Roadworthy - unfortunately, Rivercity Roadworthys can not do this at this time and you will need to     organise a Mobile Gas Certificate

- Trailers (inc caravans and campers) that are interstate transfers into Queensland or have been unregistered in Queensland for over 3 months must have a HVRAS measure       up along with your Roadworthy. This is separate and can also be booked if required int he list of services on the booking page. 
- Bookings made with Rivercity Roadworthys are for Brisbane or Redlands suburbs only. It is your responsibility to make sure your suburb is within the service areas. 
- All inspections are issued electronically as per Queensland Law
- Under no circumstances will Rivercity Roadworthys issue "dodgy" Roadworthy Certificates so do not ask
- Under no circumstances will Rivercity Roadworthys tolerate any type of abuse 
- All bookings are to be made online and paid for prior to your appointment. 
- All bookings will receive a confirmation email and an Instructions email after booking. 
- All bookings will receive a Tax Invoice for their Payment after their Inspection has been completed.
